President's message

Dr Vivek Jawali It has been a year since we launched our website – www.iacts.org. This has been a year of learning as we are improvising the functionality of the website – making it more user-friendly and effective.
But, without your participation, we will not be able to achieve much. Let us work together this year to enrich the website and also strengthen our online presence.
www.iacts.org has been conceived and developed to achieve the following objectives :

  1. Establish a strong web presence for the Association, enabling interaction among the community by providing features to post publications, videos, event details, etc.
  2. Establish the website as a one-stop base for cardiothoracic surgeons across the country – experienced professionals, residents and students
  3. Create a “web identity” for the Association, showcasing the status, breakthroughs and achievements of all of us in the profession
  4. Provide a platform of interface between the professionals and the industry to exchange information about new products and advancements.
  5. Provide a forum for exchange of views, share knowledge and post queries among people in the community.

In view of the emerging healthcare scenario, interests of member surgeons need to be protected and fine-tuned to meet the demands of today and tomorrow. The global village concept is more real today. Today, the internet is more of a necessity than a luxury. Interactive forums, online workshops and webinars (web-based seminars) will be the order of the day.
Your active participation will make all the difference to the way www.iacts.org shapes up.
