ABOUT UPDATE CARDSURG

Update CardSurg is a monthly newsletter that is produced as an open-source compendium of recent advances in cardiothoracic surgery across subspecialties by Dr. Manish Hinduja, for the benefit of everyone involved in cardiothoracic surgical care (practicing consultants, registrars, trainees, cardiologists, cardiac anaesthetists, perfusionists & physician assistants).

It intends to provide a quick-bite of the happenings in cardiothoracic surgery as reported in literature with brief and to-the-point dissections of articles published in global literature. While the monthly-manifesto discusses technology, practise and outcomes, it is solely for the benefit of better understanding and broad-spectrum understanding of subspecialties, given the rapid pace in which cardiovascular surgery is moving ahead.

About the author

Dr. Manish Hinduja MS, MCh, DNB(CTS) 

Dr. Hinduja presently serves as a consultant cardiothoracic surgeon at Fortis Hospitals Mulund, Mumbai. He maintains an active interest in adult minimally invasive surgeries with a focus on coronary bypass, valve and aortic surgeries.

Upon completing his training at PGI Chandigarh, Dr. Hinduja completed a clinical fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, Canada.

He is recipient of the 2015 Sadasivan Gold Medal for Excellence in the DNB (CTS) Examinations.
Dr. Manish is a Life Member of the Indian Association of Cardiovascular-Thoracic Surgeons.
